Edgar Allan Poe House & Museum

Although the Poe House was built in 1831, it has changed hands a number of times, and became a National Historic Landmark in 1972.

Baltimore City owns (and for a long time managed) the house, though budget cutbacks led to its closure for two years before Poe Baltimore, Inc. took over management in 2013.
