Lassen Volcanic National Park, established in 1916, is located in northeastern California. The park provides opportunities for visitors to learn about volcanism and other park phenomena and enjoy various recreation pursuits such as sightseeing, camping, picnicking, and hiking. Over 75 percent of the park is congressionally designated wilderness.
