The Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve totals 8.2 million acres with 7.1 million acres in park wilderness and 1.1 million acres for the Kobuk and Itikillik Preserves. The park contains six Wild Rivers (Alatna, John, Kobuk, Noatak, North fork of the Koyukuk, and Tinayguk) and two National Natural Landmarks: Arrigetch Peaks and Walker Lake.
